How the IonCleanse Works

Generating Ions

An ion is a charged atom that has gained or lost an electron which creates a magnetic field capable of attaching to and neutralizing oppositely charged particles.

These neutralized particles are extracted from the body through the process called osmosis.

Osmosis is a scientific term that is used to describe the movement of particles through a membrane from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration.

In this case, the higher concentration refers to the ion field that is set up by placing the array into the water while running the unit.

1. An LED screen that displays voltage, amperage and time duration, making it impossible to over-salt or over-treat. This feature enables the operator to know precisely how much salt to add in order to maximize power output without ever risking electrical shorts or burnouts.

A water molecule is composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

When the molecule loses a hydrogen atom, the remaining OH molecule takes on a negative charge.

As you walk along the beach, your body absorbs millions of these negatively charged ions, which alkalize the blood and tissue.

Because of poor diet and high stress, we tend to accumulate and store excessive quantities of waste products, such as diacetic, lactic, pyruvic, uric, carbonic, acetic, butyric, and hepatic acids.

According to Dr. Theodore Baroody, author of Alkalize or Die, acid wastes attack joints, tissues, muscles, organs, and glands causing minor to major dysfunction.

He asserts that avoiding disease and maintaining vitality, as we age, requires the maintenance of an alkaline environment throughout the body - which is virtually impossible to accomplish in our high-tech, high-stress, toxic society, unless we can walk on the beach everyday.

The IonCleanse creates precisely the same environment as the walk along the beach, only more powerfully because your feet are in direct contact with the ions being manufactured in the water.

Place your feet in the water, turn on the unit and within seconds, millions of ions enter your body and begin to neutralize these tissue acid wastes.

The particles, fat, and mucous residues found in the water after bathing reflect the wastes that have left the body during the 20 to 30 minute session. Your body will feel lighter after the first session.

The array is placed into the water alongside the hands, feet, or body while the power supply delivers a low level direct current to the array. This causes the metals within the array in combination with water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions by separating oxygen and hydrogen in the water.

The practitioner determines the polarity setting through the use of litmus paper (pH strips) or muscle testing. We speculate that ions generated by the IonCleanse travel through the body attaching themselves to a multitude of toxic substances, thereby neutralizing their positive or negative charge. It may be possible to reduce pain and other symptoms caused by a lifetime of toxic buildup in the body (assuming the symptoms are caused by toxic buildup). The long-term effectiveness of the IonCleanse detoxification process depends on other life-enhancing changes a person is willing to make.

The Meaning of Positive and Negative For the purpose of IonCleanse discussions, positive and negative relate to electrical rather than chemical phenomena.

When the IonCleanse is set to positive, the current is directed to the positive pole, which results in the production of more negative ions in the water. Therefore, a positive polarity generates a negative ion flow which, we believe, raises blood pH from acidic toward alkaline. When the IonCleanse is set to negative, the current is directed to the negative pole, which results in the production of more positive ions in the water. Therefore, negative polarity generates a positive ion flow which, we believe, lowers blood pH from alkaline toward acidic.

Approximately 95% of people in this culture experience a state of acidity; that is, their bodies contain an excess of hydrogen ions, and their blood pH is lower than 7.45. These people will greatly benefit from exposure to high concentrations of negatively charged ions. However, we have found through muscle testing that most people prefer a mixture of positive and negative ions in each IonCleanse session.

Colors and Objects in the Water

Many colors and objects appear in the water during IonCleanse sessions. There is a reaction between the toxins and particles in the water, the salt added to the water, the metals in the array, and the acidity or alkalinity of the person being bathed. All of these combine to produce color, whether or not feet are in the water. The basic color produced by these reactions varies from one geographic area to another.

It is important to understand that the water will change color even if the unit is operating without feet in the water. The basic color change is a result of the reaction between all of the variables in the water and the array, as discussed above. This color change will vary in accordance with the toxic and chemical components of the water and air given a particular geographical area.

The toxins in our bodies will look the same as the toxins predominant in a specific area; however, there will be more toxic particles in the water with feet in it. You will also find that water-based toxins will not stick to the side of the bucket and array, whereas substances pulled from the body will form a sticky ring that must be removed with a detergent.

However, through many tests, we have found that the residue in the bucket is easily rinsed off if the unit operates without feet in the bucket. In addition, the residue produced while a person's feet are bathed has been found to stick to the bucket and cling to the array. The bucket will then require some type of scouring powder or soap in order to be thoroughly cleaned.

We have also found that a person's detoxification session will override the geographical toxicity of the water. Based on EAV (Electro Acupuncture by Voll) testing, the following table shows what we believe the colors in the water to represent:

Permanent Arrays Several companies are now offering arrays which they claim never wear out. This is a blatantly false statement.

Ionization – the separation of oxygen and hydrogen atoms in the water – depends upon the gradual erosion of electrified metals in a saline solution.

IF NO EROSION OCCURS, THE ELECTROLYSIS PROCESS WILL BE GREATLY DIMINISHED WITH VIRTUALLY NO COLOR CHANGE IN THE WATER.

This would be the natural result of a truly indestructible array.

The so-called “permanent” arrays contain large blocks of metal which corrode slowly over a long period of time, approximately 300 to 400 uses.

The amount of ionization produced by any set of plates depends on the surface area of the metal that is exposed to the saline water and electricity.

As these large blocks gradually corrode, their surface areas decrease in size so that the last 150 to 200 treatments produce less and less ionization.

In other words, the last 150 to 200 treatments will have a diminishing detoxification impact on your client and, depending on what you pay for these arrays, you will probably spend more over the long run on these “permanent” plates to maintain a quality cleanse.

The IonCleanse®, with its selection of metallic plates, produces the most effective cleanse of any unit on the market. We have tried making our plates thicker so that they last longer, but we ran into the problem of diminishing surface area mentioned above.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, PLATES MUST CORRODE IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE PROCESS. ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, THIS CORROSION WILL EXPRESS ITSELF AS A COST-PER-TREATMENT THAT RANGES FROM $0.80 TO $3.00 DEPENDING ON THE AMOUNT OF CORROSIVE FACTORS IN THE WATER.

Beware of Knock-Offs!

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but in the case of our IonCleanse® product, the imitations are mostly cheap junk with little resemblance to the quality parts, circuit design and safety features of the IonCleanse® product.

Furthermore, most of the knock-offs and other competitive units have not passed the mandatory FCC, electrical safety, and other mandatory tests required to be sold in the United States to households or to a commercial business.

What could go wrong?

The IonCleanse® retails for $2,695. The cheapest knock-off retails for $1,400, and one enterprising internet web site offers 3 units for $2,200, less than our cost of manufacturing

It’s very easy for someone to make a knock-off. All you need is the ability to imitate another product, a garage workbench, a cheap step-down transformer, a homemade circuit board, an enclosure, a power cord, some wire and a few strips of metal that go into the water.

Besides the obvious warranty, durability and reliability concerns that knock-offs present, we feel there are some very serious safety issues that makers of these units have not addressed.

A few of those issues are listed below:

(1) Electric Shock Hazard Р This can result if a poorly designed unit is repeatedly overloaded. A thin piece of paper insulation in the power transformer is all that separates the array output from the 120 volt AC power line input. If the paper insulator in the transformer is overheated repeatedly because the array has been overloaded, it may fail.

The resulting failure could expose your client to 120 volts AC with amperages that pose an extreme hazard.

The IonCleanse® has passed and is certified as specified under Electrical Safety by Council Directive 73/23/EEC EN60335-1-2002. The power supply is protected from overload and has been tested to comply with UL standards for leakage current and for electrical shock hazard.

(2) Premature System Failures Р A poorly designed power supply connected to an array circuit without a current limiter will cause the circuit and array to fail prematurely.

The IonCleanse® unit was designed to prevent damage to the control unit under normal operation due to poor water conditions or operator error.

We show the power output readings to the array in volts and amps.

If a condition occurs that can damage the unit, the computer program will warn the operator and shut off the array. As a result our failure rate is less than 1 unit in 1,000 sold.

Some of the other units on the market have failure rates as high as 80 to 100 percent.

(3) Poor Power Supply Filtering Р Unregulated and unfiltered alternating current (AC) flows will interfere with the body’s electrical system. Side effects from this phenomenon include but are not limited to: fatigue, dizziness, physical weakness, depression, disorientation, headache and increased electrical sensitivity.

Many of the knock-off units we have tested show high levels of AC ripple in the array circuit due to poor power supply design.

The IonCleanse® unit provides a clean, noise free DC output to the array.

If a fault or overload occurs, the internal safety circuits will warn the operator and disable the array output.

(4) Static Interference Р Static discharges are common in the dryer winter months.

A static spark from the human body can cause the destruction of the computer control circuit board or make the unit operate in an unsafe or unexpected manner.

The IonCleanse® has been tested and certified to meet the standards of EMC (89/336/EEC and amendments).

One of the many tests of this standard is to place an 8,000 volt discharge on every surface of the IonCleanse® control unit. The unit must operate perfectly in order to pass this test.

(5) Federal Regulations Р All electronic equipment using computer chip or switching power supply may generate radio frequencies.

These devices must pass tests for compliance with FCC regulations in order to qualify for public sale in the United States. The IonCleanse® has passed and is certified under FCC class B by the Hewlett Packard Hardware Test Center, which is accredited by A2LA (accreditation No. 905.01)

How can you tell if a vendor Хs unit is safe?

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) mandates that any product that uses a computer chip must pass these radio emission tests before it can be sold to the public.
